My musical vein was lying next to me in my cradle. All I had to do was grasping it. The melodious voices and songs of my parents filled the room, as did the sound of the violin and the piano. Like my father I learned instruments and like my mother I became a composer.
The piano and guitar became good friends that still have to endure, kindly and patiently, all my occasional keyboard striking and guitar hammering. At present I’ve written more than 150 pieces of music both instrumentals and songs with English, German and Spanish lyrics. And counting.
I’m cooperating with very talented musicians and arrangers. I’ve already released a CD with my piano pieces, Timeless Piano Dreams, you can purchase on CD Baby, and I’m represented with songs on different CDs, for example on Más que un sueño – More Than a Dream. My brother and I have produced divers singers. I've also written the score for the film No veo España.
At the moment I’m trying to obtain the arrearage for my first English CD production Boat of Memory where I’m singing nine songs that tell about eviction, migration and quest. * A little anecdote: I don’t know how old we were back in the day, maybe 16, when genius struck both Dennis Griehl and me. He played the three repeating chords and I sang what came to mind and created the solos while playing along on the second guitar. Nothing was prepared beforehand, in fact we had played the song not once in our lives – and we recorded it! Unfortunately the recording got lost; but nothing has changed much, not even the lyrics… only major change: it was about a girl I’d never see again (a sad thing) and now it’s about a people nobody will ever see again (a thing much sadder)!
